Mary Ann Connolly Gaskin, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Mary Ann Connolly Gaskin's professional career helping residents of Sussex County spans over 30 years. She started as a speech therapist for the Seaford School District from 1980-1985. She received her B.S. in Speech Pathology & Audiology from Pennsylvania State University in 1980. Dr. Gaskin then received her M.A. in Audiology from Temple University in 1987.  She return to Delaware to begin her career as an Audiologist with Sussex ENT in Reboboth Beach.  While working at Bayside Health Association, Dr. Gaskin earned her Doctorate in Audiology in September 2008 from Salus University in Elkins Park, PA.  Dr. Gaskin worked at Bayside Health Association as the Director of Audiology for 13 years before opening her private practice, Bayside Audiology & Hearing Aids, on September 1, 2008.

Dr. Gaskin is Board Certified in Audiology (ABA) and maintains her Certification with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) in Audiology (CCC-A). Dr. Gaskin is professionally licensed in Delaware in both Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing. Dr. Gaskin was appointed by two governors to serve as the Sussex County member on the Delaware Professional Regulations Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists, Audiologists and Hearing Aid Dispensers from 2006-2013. Dr. Gaskin was also appointed to a one year position on the American Academy of Audiology's Ethical Practices Committee in 2015.

Dr. Gaskin is a member of American Academy of Audiology (AAA), Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), American Tinnitus Association, (ATA) and Hearing Loss of Association of America (HLAA).

Dr. Gaskin is also a member of both the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Gaskin participates in the Special Olympics of Delaware (SODE) Summer Games, Healthy Hearing division. She is a supporter of the Starkey Hearing Foundation, Penn State THON, and Cheer Centers Sussex County,  

Much of Dr. Gaskin's time during the last 10 years has been focused on guiding her patients on their journey to better hearing. This is her greatest joy. Now that her two sons are successfully educated and employed in their chosen careers, Dr. Gaskin and her husband are traveling to explore the communities of the Eastern shore, surrounding states, and more.

Sara A. Conrad, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Sara Conrad has been practicing as an audiologist since graduating in 2012 from James Madison University (JMU) with a clinical doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.). She also graduated in 2008 from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Emphasis in Deaf Studies. Before working with Dr. Mary Ann Gaskin at Bayside Audiology and Hearing Aids, Dr. Conrad worked at audiology private practices and otolaryngology (ENT) offices in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, Virginia, serving patients of all ages. She also enjoyed her work as a clinical supervisor of JMU Au.D. students.

Dr. Conrad holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA), and is Board Certified in Audiology from the American Board of Audiology. She also holds certification in Vestibular Assessment and Management from the American Institute of Balance (AIB-VAM). Her undergraduate and graduate research has been published in professional journals. She is a strong advocate of evidence-based practices and at the same time understands that her patients are anything but "average" and require special considerations and attention to help them succeed.

Dr. Conrad serves as the Clinical Director of Healthy Hearing in Virginia, a Healthy Athletes division of the Special Olympics. She has also volunteered internationally at the Summer and Winter World Games.

Dr. Conrad is from Elysburg, a small town in East Central Pennsylvania. She enjoys traveling, playing piano, and spending time with her family, husband, and dog. She has a family history of hearing loss, so she understands the enormous impact hearing loss can have not only on the individual, but on the family as well. Dr. Conrad's primary goal is to help you hear the best that you can so that you enjoy strong relationships with your family and participate in all the wonderful things life has to offer. Due to her background in music, she also has a special interest in helping musicians preserve and enhance their hearing. Additionally, Dr. Conrad's interests include tinnitus management, assistive listening devices (other than hearing aids), balance assessments and reducing fall risk, and making sure that hearing services and devices are accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of financial, physical, or cognitive barrier.

Marcia Anderson
Office Manager

Marcia began working at Bayside Audiology & Hearing Aids in December 2017, and we are thrilled that Marcia has joined our team. She is a native of Delaware, born and raised on a family farm. She lives in rural Seaford with her husband of nearly 30 years and her son. Marcia brings 25 years of management experience to Bayside Audiology, 20 years of that time working in healthcare where she previously was an Office Manager at Bayside Health Association. She also graduated with a degree in Human Services from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1988.

Marcia enjoys spending time on the beaches, traveling, entertaining with family and friends, and shopping. "I enjoy meeting new people and working with them to resolve any issues or concerns they may have while helping to broaden their knowledge about the healthcare industry." 

Carolyn Conti
Receptionist / Biller

Carolyn has been working at Bayside Audiology & Hearing Aids since July 2012. Carolyn is a native of New Castle, Delaware, and moved to Lewes in 2010. She is married and has three children, and enjoys spending time with her family and doing arts and crafts with her kids. We are very fortunate to have Carolyn on our team!
